Bombardment of Love

Bombardment of Love

Practice:

The following explanation is given to the class.

“We all need to receive positive feedback in the environment we live in. However, most of the time we neglect this during a busy day. Actually, we see and point out the negativities easier and more frequently. Especially disliked and undesirable characteristics come out of our mouths more easily than those that are liked and appreciated. In today’s activity, we will talk about our positive feelings and thoughts about each other.  One of you will volunteer for this. This person will come to the board.  At least 5 of you will say a positive feeling or opinion about this friend. This could be something they do well, as well as a physical trait or a personality trait, etc. Then, we will continue the same activity with another friend.”

If applicable, make sure every student come to the blackboard. If you have remaining time, initiate group interaction with the following questions.

  • How did you feel when you heard your friends’ positive feelings/opinions about you?
  • How did you feel while saying your positive feelings/thoughts about your friends?
  • How often do you do this in your daily life?
  • Do you think positive messages are needed? Why?
  • What is your opinion about this activity?
