THE OTHER Book

THE OTHER Book

Practices: Students read the book, which has a total of 9 chapters, within the scope of the unit, for a total of 3 weeks during the weekly course hours. A summary and a connection to children’s rights are written at the end of the chapter on the booklets created for students. At the beginning, the author and their goal are introduced. Before they start reading it, students are divided into groups and asked to create a character to be added to the book (Groups draw, paint, and cut an othered character who has just come to their class on a large draft paper. Then the images of characters are placed on the board).
