POSITIVE SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS

PEER RELATIONSHIPS

School is the first place where children fully begin to establish peer relationships. It is observed that there is a positive correlation between peer relationships and adaptation to school.

STUDENT TEACHER RELATIONSHIPS

The relationship between the student and teacher plays a key role in a child’s academic achievement and social development. Establishing a positive relationship with the student helps a student feel more comfortable and safer in the classroom environment.

ADULT RELATIONSHIPS

Humans cannot survive alone in the wilderness. They are born into a society and interact with the people who make up that society throughout their lives. As they influence others, they are influenced by others either negatively or positively.

SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS

We tend to accept school within the triangle of student, teacher, and parent, while tending to the academic-social-emotional development of the children “that we know”. However, whatever a good school, responsible educators, and conscious parents wish for their own students/children, they should actually wish the same for all of the students/children in the society.

GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP

Robertson (1992) defines globalization as follows: “the compression of the world and the intensification of the consciousness of the world as a whole”. Global citizenship describes the citizens who are sensitive towards universal issues, open to connections with the world, attentive and adopt universal values.
