Income Inequality

Income Inequality

Practice: The teacher gives students time to learn about the Lorenz curve, the Gini coefficient and social stratification pyramids, and asks them to share such information with the class. After the students share information, the teacher shows a video about social classes. Then the teacher asks the class what the indicators of the different lifestyles of social classes might be. Teacher asks about the reasons that lead to classification, based on that. S/he provides the diagrams and graphics indicating the income inequalities in different countries around the world, and in our country along with statistics. And the teacher asks them to think about it. Finally, after dividing the students into five groups, the four groups are given the task of developing solutions for how income and social inequalities can be eliminated. The other group led by the teacher also presents its own assessment of how realistic and actionable the suggestions are.
