Thinking Multidimensionally on the French Revolution

Practice: After some introductory information about the French Revolution, its effects in different areas are discussed. Its impact on art is evaluated based on Goya’s painting entitled “The 3rd of May 1808” and Beethoven’s “Eroica symphony”. After that, students are asked to write an article titled “The effects of the French Revolution on the transformation of the world”. The main purpose of the article is to evaluate the effects of the French Revolution in different aspects, using current evidence and valid arguments. Students are asked to present one or more claims about the topic, evidence and reasons to support this claim.
