Teacher Group Activity – The Exhausted Self

Practice: The activity is organized with a private group for three weeks and the group rules are set with the members. Each session is planned in a different way than the other. Brief theoretical information is shared in sessions where various art therapy techniques are used for exchange of information.

Purpose: Evaluating the mental impacts of the fatigue that might be caused by the global trauma caused by the pandemic, while having to maintain one’s role as a teacher and also taking on various other roles, and reviewing what can be done for psychological well-being. Observing teachers’ well-being, giving them space to express their feelings and opinions, sharing professional information in the field of guidance and psychological counseling, doing relaxation/unwinding exercises, expanding and strengthening individuals’ social support mechanism.
