I Am Aware of My Values!
In a native language or foreign language course, students are asked to write a short essay about their most important values. Younger age groups can symbolically picture values that they find important.
Different types of texts are brought into the classroom and the texts are read in the classroom. The basic values of the main character in the selected texts are determined and discussed in the class. After that, the effect of these values on the actions of the character is discussed. Students are asked to compare the basic values of the main character with their own. Students take notes about the similarities or differences in basic values.
