Setting a Story

Practice: Students are told that they will create a story together. The teacher will share the first sentence, and the remaining part will be completed by the students with one sentence from each. Teacher shares the first sentence: Once upon a time, a child has started a new school. Students create a story based on this first sentence. Then, a conversation on the students’ excitement and concerns about their new school based on the story follows.

    Any time. No planning needed.
